One holiday down, one to go. I can’t wait for the season to be over with. Of course it’s been full of highs and lows as usual. I feel like I have little control over what direction it goes in. I guess it’s like a bad carnival ride there are moments where it feels great but for the most part you’re just kind of nauseous and wish it would stop.
I’ve had the brief respite of a couple of simple knitting projects to keep my mind off of the holiday season. One was for a gift, which was very well received.
I think she liked them. 🙂
Next I started a hat for myself. I wanted something warm but simple to show off the grey alpaca hand spun. I’ve used the Felicity hat pattern in the past and I really like the way it fits my peanut head. There were no modifications I knit the pattern as it was written. The weight of the yarn was probably a little heavier than what was called for but it works and made a very thick warm hat.
Rocco is still having some health problems. We are taking him to the veterinary specialists on Monday to an internal medicine doctor to see if he can pin down exactly what’s going on with his urinary tract. My feeling is that he has some sort of genetic anomaly, a kink in his pipes that is causing chronic problems.
I hope everyone has a great New Year here’s to better days. Cheers!
